Citizens Corps Invites Neighborhoods Associations to Prepare

Several Memphis neighborhood association leaders were asked one important question when they attended the Shelby County Citizens Corps preparedness fair at the Benjamin Hooks Library,

"Who is the first person on the scene of any disaster?"

The answer, "You, the citizen!"

95% of all bystanders or the victims themselves, are the first on the scene to provide emergency assistance or perform a rescue.
