Mission Statement
"To provide efficient and effective coordination of resources in the mitigation
of; planning and preparation for; response to and recovery from emergencies and
disasters for all residents of Shelby County Tennessee."
The Memphis / Shelby County Emergency Management Agency is the
central point of contact for a wide range of emergency management activities.
Among those are the coordination of policies and procedures regarding the
execution of all major emergency and disaster operations within all of Shelby
County. This office coordinates all actions taken by city and county governments
to mitigate, plan, organize, and prepare for the saving of lives, protection of
property, and the recovery from the effects of an emergency, disaster or
catastrophe. We now proudly introduce you to the members of our staff. These are
the people who work so hard to make our program a success.
